Applications are invited for a position as research assistant at DTU Aqua, Charlottenlund, Denmark, with emphasis on marine and maritime stakeholder management and communication.
Responsibilities and tasks
The successful applicant will support the develop a comprehensive and robust strategy plan for an efficient dissemination and exploitation of knowledge outputs generated in different marine research and innovation projects at European level.
The strategy will include:
- Identification of business pain points and potential solutions for the different stakeholders (fisheries, aquaculture industry, transport, policy makers, etc.);
- Selection of relevant knowledge output from research and innovation projects;
- Development and implementation of a go-to-market strategy to efficiently transfer the research and innovation products to the different stakeholders.
The impact of the strategy will be assessed by application of appropriate socio-economics modeling tools and a set of performance measurement indicators, especially in relation to “Blue Growth”, including relevant marine policies such as Marine Strategy Framework Directive and the Common Fishery Policy.
The successful applicant will engage in our existing international collaborations with other research institutions as well as industry and policy makers and will be directly involved in some of our ongoing research projects, EU H2020: COLUMBUS, UTOFIA. In particular, the candidate will allocate ~30% of the time working in our supporting team at GEMBA Seafood Consulting in Hørsholm, Denmark.
Candidates should have a master’s degree in economics, social sciences or equivalent.
Experiences in the marine and maritime sector would be an advantage. Given the expected strong interactions with local Danish stakeholders (e.g. fisherman) sufficient Danish communication skills are mandatory.
