PhD: Does water pollution transform upper trophic levels of marine food webs?

The School of Applied Sciences at Bournemouth University, UK, offers a fully-funded PhD position on the topic: Does water pollution transform upper trophic levels of marine food webs? The project will determine the extent and impact of organic pollution and green algal mat formation on biogeochemical processes and invertebrate populations, and develop an individual-based model to predict the impact of water quality on bird populations The main focus of the study will be Poole Harbour but will also test the generality of results on other estuarine sites.
