Junior Research Group Leader “Marine Botany”

The Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Ecology (ZMT) in Bremen, Germany, offers a four‐year postdoctoral fellowship to exceptionally qualified young candidates from the field of Marine Botany. The application should include a proposal for an ambitious four‐year research program from the field of tropical macroalgae or seagrass ecology for the junior research group, including a defined PhD student project. A clearly described linkage to other work groups within the ZMT structure and the proven ability to work interdisciplinary is an additional asset.

Candidates are expected to have at least two years of post‐doctoral experience, an outstanding early career track record and have obtained a PhD no more than six years prior to the date of application. The position includes a competitive salary, a PhD student grant, and funds to support research costs. The proponent is expected to enlarge the junior research group by third‐party funded projects including PhD student positions.
