Program Coordinator (Chile)

The Marine Conservation Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile invites applications for a Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will show experience in research and administration in the fields of resource management or marine conservation. The Program Coordinator responsibilities will include (a) coordinating group projects in accordance with set goals/deadlines, (b) ensuring the effective preparation and implementation of all project events and facilitate group meetings, as well as production of necessary documentation, (c) communicating effectively with government agencies and stakeholders, and (d) taking responsibility for the effective flow of information among varied research groups and team members. The successful candidate should demonstrate decision-making abilities as well as capacity to work successfully with large groups composed of diverse constituents, such as scientists, managers, conservation groups and policy- makers. It is desirable that the coordinator shows interest in developing research activities. This is a full-time, 3-year position.

Required Qualifications: a PhD or Master degree with experience in research and administration (fisheries, marine conservation); fluency in Spanish and E ng li s h.

Desirable Qualifications: ability to manage databases; immediate availability.
